BAH ! Assault Weapons for Pirates and Cop Killers
Let me get this straight. Twenty sailors on the open sea near Somalia are unarmed and pirates can board their freighters, hold the captain hostage and demand millions in ransom. The Pirates are armed to the teeth, the sailors are not.
A brother police officer in Pittsburgh can answer a domestic disturbance call and get gunned down along with his two backups. The killer has a semi-automatic weapon and a bullet-proof vest.
A deranged killer can wipe out 13 innocents at a center for teaching english to immigrants in Binghamton, NY. A killer armed with two semi-automatic weapons and a bullet-proof vest.
So why aren't sailors in the crowded shipping lanes off the coast Africa allowed to carry the kinds of military-style weapons and armor to defend themselves that killers are allowed to register in the United States to kill innocents.

Now that's a question I would really like to know the answer to!.... I was wondering if there was something wrong with my thinking..... I believe people should be able to defend their life, family, and property. Somehow, somewhere, something has gone extremely wrong. It needs to change! Life as the most voluble asset should be put to the top of list!..What is money worth or anything else for that matter without life? Who made that decision?... To sail the coast of any large open waters without protection! Do you think the person(s) that decided this is on the ship with them? I don't think so!
By the way a Fifth/Third bank was robbed on Friday April 10,2009...Good Friday!..in Westlake... they were masked and armed, they got caught and to my knowledge there were no injuries. We sent in the troops with massive firepower and still no result! I'm sure there is a good reason; I'd just like to know what it is! Maybe someone out there in the
BLOG-O-SPHERE has the answers and can recommend actions to take now that can change this process!
